Project Cornerstone is a county-wide movement with limited staff capacity.  How do we spread the Assets message, you ask? VOLUNTEERS! Virtually everyone involved with Project Cornerstone is a volunteer in some capacity.  

Goals of Project Cornerstone Volunteer Program:

1. Ensure that all volunteers are inspired to be asset champions in their own spheres of influence.
2. All volunteers will have the opportunity to share their talents with Project Cornerstone in a manner that furthers the Project Cornerstone mission and vision.
3. All volunteers are nurtured and valued thru public recognition and by supporting them with the resources they need to perform their volunteer service.

There are many ways you can get involved in spreading the developmental assets message – from hosting your own block party, tutoring in a local classroom to mentoring a teenager.

If you are interested in volunteering with Project Cornerstone formally, then this is the place to find out how to plug in and be part of Project Cornerstone’s “Web of Support”.   We need volunteers to read asset building stories to children, to lead parent workshops and help with mailings.  We need individuals willing to be trained to give short community presentations and help with student workshops.  We also are very open to other skills you have to share – graphic design skills, data entry and even singing!   Contact us at volunteers@projectcornerstone.org or at 408-351-6482.
